چکیده
Aplastic anemia is a life-threatening condition characterized by the suppression of all hematopoietic lineages in bone marrow. Empty intertrabecular spaces are replaced adipose tissue. With modern MR techniques for assessing fat fraction, it has become possible to capture these changes. The fraction estimated as ratio signal intensity from sum and water signals. Aim study: assess diagnostic value marrow quantification patients aged < 18 years with aplastic anemia. study was approved Independent Ethics Committee Scientific Council Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center Pediatric Hematology, Oncology Immunology Ministry Healthcare Russian Federation. included 66 participants under years. A control group consisted 33 healthy subjects mean age 13.03 ± 2.83 interest children confirmed diagnosis anemia, 12.31 4.39 carried out at Federation; scanning performed on Philips Achieva 3.0T MRI scanner using mDixon-quant sequence iliac bones lumbar vertebrae. Our results showed that significantly higher than controls. In values L4, L5 vertebrae were 82.62 10.92% 73.52 17.52%, respectively. group, sites 51.04 11.41% 31.43 10.61%, We found significant difference same between groups ( p 0.01). Bone allows detection decreased cellularity compared children.

ALLOGENIC BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION IN APLASTIC ANEMIA
Eighteen patients, twelve men and six women, with aplastic anemia underwent allogenic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) from HLA-matched siblings during the period of 1990 to 1996. The conditioning regimen was cyclophosphamide with or without busulfan, depending on the cause of aplasia. Antilymphocyte globulin (ALG) and cyclosporine were used for rejection and acute GVHD prophylaxis, respe...

To compare magnetic resonance (MR) images of the bone marrow (BM) after bone marrow transplantation or immunosuppressive therapy in patients with aplastic anemia (AA), MR imaging of BM was reviewed retrospectively in 16 patients (13 males and 3 females, mean age 26 yr) with AA who completely responded clinically after transplantation or immunosuppressive therapy. The signal intensity (SI) of BM...

This study was conducted to develop a noninvasive method of bone marrow cellularity evaluation in solvent-exposed painters. Six painters with hypocellular marrow and 132 referents were examined using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Full examination of the peripheral blood and bone marrow biopsy was done on each patient. Signal indices were calculated from the signal intensities measured at th...
